What Next2Fix is
Next2Fix is an independent website that publishes free troubleshooting guides for everyday technology problems: phones, computers, tablets, wearables, apps, Wi-Fi and home devices. Each guide focuses on one specific problem, such as an iPhone that won’t charge or Windows Update that keeps failing, and walks through clear steps in the order most people should try them.
How the guides are written
Guides start with quick, safe and reversible checks and leave resets and repairs for last. Where an official source warns that a step can erase data, the guide gives that warning in the same step.
Official documentation from the manufacturer or software provider, such as Apple Support, Microsoft Support or Google’s help centers, is the primary factual source whenever it is available. The sources used are listed at the end of every guide, so you can check them yourself.
Every guide goes through research, writing, a separate fact-check against those sources, and a review before it is published. The editorial policy describes each step.
Independence
Next2Fix is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the manufacturers or software companies mentioned in its guides. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe the products a guide covers.
Keeping guides current
Devices and software change, and official guidance changes with them. Guides may be updated when the official documentation or the products change, and each guide shows the date it was last checked against its sources.
Next2Fix guides explain what the official documentation says. They are not a substitute for the manufacturer’s own support or a qualified repair service, and they say when a problem needs one.
